1President:Dr. Subhash Nautiyal
Dr.Subhash Nautiyal is an eminent Forest Botanist from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He has worked on various position during his 35 years long service career mainly as Scientist-G and Head Botany Division, National Project Director, Biodiversity Conservation and Ecological security and National Project Co-ordinator, Forest Invasive Species. Besides research career in Forestry, he has also served as Senior Scientist and Officer Incharge, NBPGR (ICAR), Research Centre, Srinagar,J&K.
He has been advisory to tree and bamboo propagation, Cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic plants, energy plantation, bioenergy, restoration of water streams, water springs, mining areas and barren lands. Dr. Nautiyal is also specialized in plant introduction, Plant adaptation to climate change, responses to various abiotic stresses, growth and development, plant nutrition etc.
Dr. Nautiyal has published more than 200 research papers in valued Journals as well as14 books and Research project reports etc. He has supervised 22 research fellows for Ph.D. degrees and was conferred five awards for his outstanding research contributions. He is an expert member of various research Journals and technical committees of MoEF&CC of Govt. of India. His outstanding contribution in conservation of Trees at Ta Phrohm Temple Siem Reap Cambodia as well as Mahabodhi Tree, Bodh Gaya, India is well recognized

Shri H.N. Semwal is having more than 40 years of experience in working for agriculture sector and organic farming in particular. Retired as Jt. Director from Uttarakhand Organic & Seed Certification Agency. Got trained by Agricultural Processed food and Export Development Authority( APEDA),Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India on:
Organic Agriculture Production Certification, Inspection and certification of farm crops and handlings of Organic production
(as per National and International Standers ), Setup of an Organic Certification Body (as per ISO – Guide 65), Inspection and Certification of Livestock (as per National Program on Organic ProducAlso trained by IAOI/GROLINK (Independent Organic Inspectors Association, USA ) on: Techniques of inspection, certification of farm crops, Processed Products (as per national and international standards).
Served as Technical Consultant, Advisor to : Himmothan Society (a Tata Trust project), Dehradun, Sanjeevani Organic Dehra dun, Clover Organic Pvt. Ltd., ADFA Dehradun, FORD Dehradun, Bicert International Pvt. Ltd. Indor, MP
Provided expert services to three States of NE region and assisted Service Providers in developing organic agriculture production program as per National, International Organic Agriculture Standers under Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North eastern Regions (MOVCD – NER) scheme of INM Division, Ministry of Agriculture And Farmers’ Welfare, Govt. of INDIA.
Provided expert services to two States and assisted Service Providers in developing organic agriculture production program as per PGS – INDIA Standers under Parampragat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) scheme of INM Division, Ministry of Agriculture And Farmers’ Welfare, Govt. of INDIA.

3Secretary/ Chief FunctionaryDr. R. K. Pant:
Dr. R.K. Pant has diverge academic qualifications like M.Sc. (Bot.), Ph.D. from FRI, MSW, PGD (Seri) and also has undergone numerous trainings at various domestic & overseas institutes of repute like management training at IIM, Bangalore, training on World Bank’s Procurement Procedure at ASCI, Hyderabad, international training on organic farming at Aurangabad, quality silk production training at Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanjing, China, training on Germ Plasm Management at Asian Vegetables Research and Development Centre (AVRDC) Taiwan and Bangkok, Training on plant germ plasm management at International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT),Colombia (S. America) etc. Work Experience Having more than 36 years of experience in working with State, Central Govt., NGOs and World Bank Projects.
Retired as Deputy Secretary/Zonal Head from CSB, Min. Of Textiles, Govt. Of India.
Served as Technical Expert (Seri.) in a World Bank Project known as Diversified Agricultural Support Project (DASP), UP and as Technical Head in DASP, Uttarakahnd. Remained instrumental in developing rural infrastructure in Uttarakhnad like up gradation of 110 kms of rural roads, 3 RCC brides (in Dehradun), 8 rural markets (Haath Painths), 15 horticulture collection centres, 5 Post Harvest Training Centres, 2 Technology Dissemination Centres etc. Arranged establishment of Pantnagar Centre for Plant Genetic Resources (PCPGR).
Working to popularize organic farming. Popularized the concept of Bio-village in UP & Uttaranchal.
Academic Achievements:
Authored a book titled “Organic Farming a tool for trainers” being used as a reference book by Agriculture Universities. Research work done at FRI is published by German Publisher LAP Lambert in the shape of a book and is available online on amazon.com titled “Growth Retardant for Foliage Improvement –by R K Pant” as a priced publication costs $89.
Served as a Chief Paper setter & Examiner for Rajasthan Higher Secondary Board, Ajmer in 1996 (for XII class).
Attended World Hindi Conference at Mauritius in 2018.
As a Resource Person
Invited by SARC Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs for a presentation on “need for organic farming” during International Women’ day at Kathmandu in 2005.
Oriented Deans & Departmental Heads of different colleges of GBPUA&T, Pantnagar on international requirements for organic production in the year 2003, serving as a resource person to SBI Training Centre, Ordinance Factory, Dehradun.

Present Involvement:
As a Secretary, FORD involved in Training M.Sc., B.Sc. (Agri./Hort.) students of various Universities like HNB Garhwal, Uttaranchal University, Graphic Era, SGRR etc. on various aspects involved in Organic Production Processes. Involved in preparing Peoples’ Biodiversity Registers of various Gram Panchayats and Blocks as required under Biodiversity Act 2004. Organizing workshops on providing scientific explanation on so called superstitions, magic, tricks etc. providing trainings and arranging project works on various fields relating to organic & rural development from MBA students of IIM, Kashipur (UK) under their Experiential Learning Programme.
4Joint SecretaryDr. G.R. Gargya

Dr. Gargya is M.Sc. (Bot.) and has done PhD in forestry from FRI besides he has also obtained PG Diploma in Computer Science and Application. He has also obtained certificate in Organic Production process as per national standards and organic farm management from FORD. Dr. Gargya has more than 29 years of experience in the field of research, extension/implementation, monitoring and evaluation. He has worked under various Government as well as Non Government institutions in different positions. His work profile in brief is as under:
a. Worked as Senior Research Fellow and Research Associate in a renowned institution Forest Research Institute (ICFRE). During the association with the institute engaged with the projects of highly valuable medicinal and aromatic plants of high Himalayan region of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
b. Worked as a Senior Research Fellow in Central Soil & Water Conservation Research & Training Institute (ICAR)for a project “Afforestation Techniques on Degraded Lands".
c. Engaged with a NGO (Himalayan Village Resource & Development Society),as a project coordinator and implemented a project of environment security and rural development in Purola valley of Garhwal Himalaya.
d. Vast experience of working with TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) a renowned Non Government Organization. During the association with the institute engaged with different projects of implementation, extension, monitoring and evaluation etc.
e. Worked as Principal Investigator for a environment and rural development related project of Society for Environment Research & Social Development (SERASD).
f. Presently working for Foundation for Organic & Rural Development (FORD) as a Project Coordinator and involved in Training M.Sc.,B.Sc. (Agri./Hort.) students of various Universities like HNB Garhwal, Uttaranchal University and institutions etc. on various aspects involved in Organic Production Process. Apart of this having vast experience of nursery (forestry/medicinal and aromatic plants) development, forestry/agroforestry/horticulture plantation, soil and water conservation practices, livelihood improvement activities, formation of community based institutions, capacity building, biodiversity conservation study etc. Good knowledge of field data collection, analysis and skill of report writing.
h. Moreover, worked as HoD and Faculty in the different institutions. Supervised M.Sc. class students for preparation of thesis and dissertation.

Published 26 research papers in various journals and 9 general articles in magazines and news papers. Also published a book and booklet on degraded land plantation. Attended various workshops/seminars and training programme.
